Description
This library is needed by some Windows applications to play MP3 files.
Resolution
On CrossOver 17 and greater, the simplest solution to fix this issue is to run:
/path/to/cxoffice/bin/cxfix missinglibmpg123 missinglibmpg123.amd64
Or add --show-all to see how CrossOver would fix it on your platform and others.
Alternatively you may try one of the commands below.
- For 32-bit Windows applications
32-bit Arch Linux : pacman -Syu mpg123
64-bit Arch Linux : pacman -Syu lib32-mpg123
Debian : apt-get install libmpg123-0:i386
32-bit Fedora (1) : dnf install --best mpg123-libs
64-bit Fedora (1) : dnf install --best mpg123-libs.i686 mpg123-libs.x86_64
32-bit openSUSE (2) : zypper install libmpg123-0
64-bit openSUSE (2) : zypper install libmpg123-0-32bit - For 64-bit Windows applications
Arch Linux : pacman -Syu mpg123
Debian : apt-get install libmpg123-0:amd64
Fedora (1) : dnf install --best mpg123-libs.x86_64
openSUSE (2) : zypper install libmpg123-0
Notes:
- cxfix --show-all may have more up-to-date fixes.
- The commands usually also apply to derived distributions. So for instance a fix for Debian is typically also applicable to Ubuntu, Linux Mint, Deepin and Pop! OS. Similarly a fix for Fedora likely also works on Red Hat Enterprise Linux, CentOS, etc.
- (1) The mpg123-libs'' package is only available on Fedora 25 / RHEL 7 and greater. However older releases may be able to get the '''libmpg123.i686 package from the third party RPM Fusion Free repository.
- (2) Older versions of openSUSE may have to get this package from the third-party Packman Essentials repository.
